The Village Folk Club was started by Esther Ferry-Kennington and Jen Blacker. Jen has now moved to Canada to fight fire over there instead. We are now a group of many with Ruthie, Stephen, Karina, Sophie and Fran joining Esther to run the club.
The Village Folk Club is usually found at Taurus Bar, 1 Canal Street, every third Tuesday of the month.

We want the club to embrace the wide ranging elements of folk from singing and instrumentalists to storytelling and dancing, from the ultra-traditional and Country to nu-folk that has been ascending the charts of late. We are always looking for the best performances to bring to Manchester City Centre and love the welcoming atmosphere of Taurus Bar.

If you want to come down and do 2 or 3 songs as a floor spot to show us what you can do then please do and feel free to drop us an email to let us know you are coming.
